Ayubu Makaa

Ayubu Makaa is 11 years old and from the city of Arusha. Last year he and some older friends decided to run away from home to try and find a better life in the city. Although Ayubu was sometimes able to make money by begging, he found life on the streets to be difficult and dangerous. Fearing a return home, Ayubu came to Amani looking for a safe place to live. Now at Amani, our social workers are meeting with Ayubu and his family to determine if a successful family reunification can be arranged.
