Babuu Zakaria

Babuu, 12, is the oldest of the 3 children in his family. When he was younger, his mother died of an AIDS-related illness and left him and his siblings in the care of their grandmother. Unfortunately, his grandmother had no steady income and was unable to provide for them. Feeling desperate, Babuu ran to the streets where he heard about Amani through word of mouth. When offered the chance to come to live with us, he quickly accepted. A polite and thoughtful boy who loves to draw, Babuu is currently enrolled in Standard 3 classes.
