Charles Marwa
Charles Marwa is 15 and has lived at Amani with his little sister Irene since 2002. Unlike most of the other children at Amani, Charles and Irene have never lived on the street. After their parents’ death from AIDS-related illnesses, they lived with their aunt who was too poor to provide for them and brought them to Amani. Charles is a member of Amani’s acrobatic group and wants to work as a policeman or as a driver when he grows up.
