Rescuing Children. Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives.

Dustin Deo

Dustin, 14, comes from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s biggest city. He lived with his father and grandmother until his father passed away 3 years ago. His relationship with his grandmother became strained and he left home looking for work.

While on the street, Dustin was robbed and beaten by older homeless people. He tried to collect and sell scrap metal for money, but he found making enough money to eat difficult.

Dustin is finishing his primary school education at Amani and hopes to enroll in a vocational training program to become a carpenter.
