Elisante Talalai

Elisante, age 9, begged on the streets with his mother for three years before Amani’s social workers convinced her that Elisante should be in school. After learning how Amani could provide her child with a loving environment in which to grow and learn, Elisante’s mother sent him to live with us. Since coming to Amani, Elisante has become a charming, active boy who spends most of his time poring over books in the library or playing with his friends.
