Rescuing Children. Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives.

Irene Marwa

Twelve year old Irene tried to live with her aunt after her parents died of AIDS-related illnesses. Her aunt did her best to care for Irene, but was unable to make ends meet. Irene and her aunt decided it was best for her to move to Amani. Now living at Amani, Irene is becoming a bright and happy young woman. Exceptionally polite and mature, Irene received a “Child of the Year” award in 2007 for her excellent behavior.
