Joseph and Emanuel Erasto

Joseph and Emmanuel Erasto lived with their mother in Arusha before coming to live at Amani. Due to poverty, their mother frequently sent the brothers to beg for food instead of sending them to school. A concerned neighbor who had seen Joseph and Emmanuel begging on the street told their mother about Amani. Now at Amani, Joseph and Emmanuel have enrolled in our on-site educational program’s starters group. Eager to learn how to read and write, the brothers are working hard in class. In their spare time, Joseph and Emmanuel love to play with toys in the games room. Although the brothers have quickly warmed to their new home, they both plan to stay in touch with their mother by visiting her as often as they can.
