Tumaini Alex

Tumaini, 11, comes from Kibosho. Tumaini has never known his mother and, like so many other Tanzanian boys, he was rejected by his stepmother. After only one day on the street, Tumaini was directed to Amani by word of mouth. Tumaini is a confident and well-behaved boy. Attending Amani’s non-formal education program, Tumaini is working hard to learn to read. When he grows up, he wants to work as a driver.
