Tumaini Venace

Tumaini, 14, is from a small village on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. He sought refuge from his abusive father by running to the streets of Moshi. After living on the streets for only one day, he was brought to Amani by one of the other street children. Tumaini is excelling in Amani’s on-site education program, finishing number two in his class last year. Tumaini’s goals for his future are to continue with his studies and to learn how to drive.
