Abdul Haidali
Abdul Haidali doesn’t have to beg anymore. Nor does he have to go without food by day or fear for his safety by night. But Abdul wasn’t always so lucky. After fleeing his abusive father, Abdul ended up cold and alone on the streets of Arusha. Forced to spend his days begging just to make ends meet, Abdul could barely afford to feed himself.
At Amani Abdul received nutritious food, a safe place to sleep, and the chance to go to school.
In August 2009, Amani social workers arranged for Abdul to live with his grandfather. He is attending school and adapting well to his knew home. A fan of mathematics, Abdul hopes to one day becomes a teacher so that he may also lend a helping hand to struggling children.
